Beautiful views throughout the hike, especially those of The Three Apostles. Great trail, but the snow in the basin was a nightmare on the descent with lots and lots of postholing. Beyond that, Huron was a blast!

An alternate adventure route from Lulu Gulch
On a repeat summit, we took to our adventurous side & loop hiked both Browns & Huron. Using our crampons, we climbed a fun 25-30 degree coulier up to Browns (in pure solitude), traversed the ridge to Huron, caught a couple of glissades down Huron's face with our axes, then donned our snowshoes to prevent a dreadful posthole nightmare accross the valley headed back down the standard route. THIS route is the way to go!!!

favorite Sawatch 14er
More scenic than other Sawatch peaks. Maybe the only Sawatch 14er Id consider doing again.
Beautiful hike...made the summit this morning, presumably the first one on the mountain today (no one else had signed the register). Only one other hiker behind me, then a rainstorm with some hail thrown in for good measure on the descent.

From the Winfield 4WD TH. The most FUN mountain I've climbed for a while! Great trail w/nice switchbacks. A good one to get started on, for sure. NO WORRIES here! Just enjoy the scenery. Was with Brandon Fuller. Started at 6am, back to Golden for lunch...nice.
This hike is short enough to take your time and enjoy the high mountain tundra. The perfect weather made Huron my favorite 14er so far.

Beautiful hike on a great trail with more switchbacks than I'd ever seen before. The high alpine meadow on the route is one of the nicest places I've encountered on any hike.

Nice Fall Day
Although it was still technically summer for a couple more days, the weather was mild and enough trees were changing that it felt more like fall. Great day and an easy trail. We had sun all day.

North Ridge traverse from Middle Mt.The easy traverse made for an awesome loop hike. The trudge out in the hail/rain storm was an exciting finish to an otherwise pleasant day.
