In Port Angeles for Crab Fest. Stopped in the National park and decided to push my daughter to the top in a stroller. Great views.
Such a pretty hike with my husband, mom and two-year-old son!
Had planned on something a little more off the beaten path. But Obstruction Point Road was closed due to fires. So, this hike was a last minute decision. Saw the goats!
Quick snowshoe with some friends
Nice walk up for views of Olympus.
Did this one with my wife and 2 1/2 year old. I was kinda hoping this would be my daughter's first summit on her own two legs, but she wasn't ready so I put her in the backpack carrier to make it more of a workout. Nice views from the summit. Some deer were munching on grass along the trail and couldn't care less about all the people around.
Hike to top with daughters (age 13).
Went up here for one day of a 4 day Olympic National Park photography trip. Low snow levels, but clear skies and a great sunset!
Beware of all the tourists
Not the most beautiful or peaceful hike up with all of the standard tourists - "hiking" with their strollers and screaming babies. But was able to find a nice quiet spot off the beaten path on the summit to enjoy my lunch. One of the negatives of traveling alone, you have to stick to where the people are to be safe. But i still managed to enjoy the views and find a little serenity. :)
I know I hiked up there, just can't remember when - guess I'm getting old and senile.
With a friend in town, what better set of views on a lovely day than from the top of Hurricane Hill, and then a drive out to Obstruction Point.
This was a pleasant easy trail hike.
Hiked from the visitors center so it was a little more respectable. Total of about 6 miles round trip.
Summited on the way to Unicorn Peak.
Perfect NW day to go to the olympic mountains! What a scenic hike! Saw two deer on the road while driving to the trail head. And like Eastking said do it while there is snow on the ground with snowshoes in the winter and spring time when the mountain is not so crowded. It will busy in summer.
I think the best way to do this mountain has to be with snow. Very scenic and worthwhile. Hope to bring BearQueen there in summer.
Can't get enough of the views there! Need to get my little boy out on some trails around there!
Beautiful winter day up there. Avalanche danger was pretty high, but not on this little peak. Plenty of cornices but easy to avoid.
