"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

Fun little strollHad planned on something a little more off the beaten path. But Obstruction Point Road was closed due to fires. So, this hike was a last minute decision. Saw the goats!

Paved TrailDid this one with my wife and 2 1/2 year old. I was kinda hoping this would be my daughter's first summit on her own two legs, but she wasn't ready so I put her in the backpack carrier to make it more of a workout. Nice views from the summit. Some deer were munching on grass along the trail and couldn't care less about all the people around.

Beautiful weather, moderate crowds, but a good tripWent up here for one day of a 4 day Olympic National Park photography trip. Low snow levels, but clear skies and a great sunset!

Strollers and serenityNot the most beautiful or peaceful hike up with all of the standard tourists - "hiking" with their strollers and screaming babies. But was able to find a nice quiet spot off the beaten path on the summit to enjoy my lunch. One of the negatives of traveling alone, you have to stick to where the people are to be safe. But i still managed to enjoy the views and find a little serenity. :)

Friend in town? Hit the Hill! With a friend in town, what better set of views on a lovely day than from the top of Hurricane Hill, and then a drive out to Obstruction Point.

Beautiful Hike!Perfect NW day to go to the olympic mountains! What a scenic hike! Saw two deer on the road while driving to the trail head. And like Eastking said do it while there is snow on the ground with snowshoes in the winter and spring time when the mountain is not so crowded. It will busy in summer.

A Classic Snowshoe!I think the best way to do this mountain has to be with snow. Very scenic and worthwhile. Hope to bring BearQueen there in summer.
