I agree. Great hike for the family. We went up with our kids (6 and 8), and they did fine. It's short enough for almost anyone, but steep enough to know you hiked a mountain. Large bald peak that had outstanding views (particularly of GIANT) of the High Peaks.
Make sure to allow ample time to explore the summit area as we did. Just one other couple on the summit with us. Not bad for the middle of August.

Route Climbed: Main trail from route 9 Date Climbed: 12/08/99I have hiked this peak at least once a year since 1997, Its great for the kids and dogs. Only 2 hours from Montreal.
