I-70 westbound San Rafael Swell, Utah
Very expensive piece of highway. About $5 million dollars was paid for only five miles of highway created in the late 1960's. It was carved by hand with workers hanging in baskets from cranes. No billboards are allowed anywhere within 100 miles, preserving the prehistoric feel.
