mintIts in the mint family, Lamiaceae. Not being an expert in the flora of Europe, I'll just leave further identification for someone over there.

From Mrs. dh3Mints have square stems. It appears to be in the Stachys family, commonly called betony. Without seeing the whole plant, one cannot be sure but it might be what is commonly referred to as lambs ears.

Re: From Mrs. dh3Minor point of clarificaiton: there is no "Stachys" family. Stachys is a genus within the mint family. Not all mints have square stems. I'm not sure about Stachys (if thats what this is), but with all the pubescence you can't really tell for certain if this particular stem is square or not.
