As I post this photo taken outside of Red Rocks, Nevada,I heard from a prominent Sp-member that Mount Charleston received 20" of new snow this past weekend. This photo was taken March 10, 2008. The flora is Mojave Joshua Trees, Mojave Yucca and Spanish Bayonets, with Catclaw Arcadia and a FEW SALTBRUSH and red rocks thrown in for FLAVOR. I recently saw wild burros in this area, which is near the spur road going to Bonnie Springs ('OLD NEVADA') Ranch, just south of the Red Rocks Canyon National Conservation Area.
