Couldn't resist posting it now that the Doc keeps reminding me how ice is good for my broken-and-recovering ankle joint :) Actually the folk wisdom of my ancestors is that the heat is good - as in sauna or hot springs. August 1980.

I prefer saunas or

hot springs, but I have respect for people
who have strong feet. Look what happened

OTOH a good sauna is only half as good without some soft snow to roll in naked :)

would be a better place if everybody
shed their clothes, and walked around in
their birthday suits. I have a friend
who lived in Alaska, and each Spring
they participate in special event where they all
strip down to their shorts and dive into
the partly frozen Bering Sea. It's called
the "Polar Bear Swim!" Awesome.
