Iceberg Peak views

The view to the northeast from Iceberg Peak yields a wild array of colors. In the lower right foreground is a stretch of the jagged, crumbly Iceberg/Ptarmigan Wall. The red mass of Seward Mountain rises behind. To the left, and in the far distance, is Chief Mountain. The long red ridge of Seward leads to two impressive summits belonging to Gable Mountain. The true summit is at left, and from this vantage point one can appreciate the overhanging nature of the mountaintop. August 31, 2012

That ridge...

...from Seward to Gable does not look promising.

Re: That ridge...

Rory, I agree. Sean seems to think it's doable, but I've surveyed the ridge from vantage points in the Belly River (Bear Mtn lookout, Merritt, Elizabeth Lake) and it looks like it gets very cliffy after the last red bump that's visible in this photo. Let me know if you ever give it a go!
