Re: Beautiful...Illiniza Sur is my favorite peak in Ecuador, you get into action as soon as you place a foot on its glacier, and you start using both technical tools and crampons right away.
You should give it a try!

Yeah - a classicMy favorite too. Our 2002 climb had excellent conditions, but we were glad to have brushed up on ice technique before coming down to Ecuador.
