North Guardian Angel

North Guardian Angel

This is the crack mentioned as 5.6 in Climbing Magazine, but much more like 5.4 or scramble grade. There is a rap/belay station at the top. Very scenic climb stuck between Northgate Peaks and the Subway Canyon, incredible views for sure. North Guardian Angel, Zion National Park, May, 2007

Re: very cool!

and these domes are only so kind as to remind you every "step" of the way....never imagined I would be contemplating 5th class moves so carefully....or that "bushes" would serve as my bomber pro on a route....cheers

Re: very cool!

yup!
~45-55 degree slab:
on granite = 5.5 - 5.7
on Entrada sandstone = 5.9 (desperate!)
