In June of 1998 we attempted...
In June of 1998 we attempted to summit Shasta in a rain and snow storm. As visibility and avalanche danger got worse we put up our tent on this ridge and settled in for the night. We discovered later that 2 climbers that had followed us, and not stopped with us, had been caught in an avalance and the rangers were looking for them. Maybe our caution saved our lives.
