Double bagger with Bluegrass butte. Lots of scramble options on this one.

Neat Climb
Climbed with Gimpilator and co. Low 5th can probably be avoided by sticking to the ridge left of the narrow chimney. rock wasn't terrible but loose blocks kept things interesting. Summit ridge was about as good as scrambling gets.

West Ridge: first ever rock climb!
Gimpilator, his friend Jacob and my brother helped me on my very first rock climb (20 feet of mid 5th, mostly 3/4 with serious exposure). I was feeling overwhelmed but everything went well thanks to their guidance in rope/climb etiquette. Good views today with neat thunderclouds towering to the East.

West Ridge
We climbed the west ridge with rope. Plenty of loose rock and an exciting knife-edge top. We were the first party to sign the register in two years.

Independence PeakSimple class 3 scramble - just use caution on the steep scree slopes on the traverse.
