Indian Peak in the

distance gives a feel that this is indeed desert country. Lonely highway 21 makes it way across this expanse on its 60 mile journey from Wah Wah summit to Baker Nevada.

It is out there but yet, the isolation is what makes Indian Peak and the Home Mtn range (to the right) attractive. Thank you for your kind comment about the picture. Despite the dead tree, there were plenty of live ones just behind me. In fact, the amount of trees and brush on or near this summit were surprising
