Inflorescence of Welted Thistle

Welted Thistle ( Carduus acanthoides – in Polish: Oset nastroszony) is a native plant in Europe but is well-known in many other parts of the world. Blossoms appear from June to September. The plant can reach from 30 to 100 centimetres in height. The Low Beskid - The yellow trail Baranie - Olchowiec – Tylawa – Summer 2009.

Thank you. I'm glad you like to look at my wildflower photos. I'm not a botanist but I really enjoy nature. I love trees and flowers. I'm a lawyer but compared to nature study that is a boring profession. Greetings, Henryk.
