What time of year was this?

I went over Wanda Pass in early July 2009, and the ascent from Wanda Lake was nearly all snow, but there was much less snow in the Ionian Basin.

Right, my bad. Almost immediately after I posted my comment, I found your trip report of yore.

I've read great things about Goddard Creek Canyon, but the Enchanted Gorge seems epically bad.

Worth every ounce of sweat

Goddard Creek Canyon is worth the effort to get there.
