In that case the Witch is bewitching....
If only I could cast a spell so you wouldn't notice how freakin old I am!!!!
You made my day, poorboy --thanks!
You've cast one on me melba, thanks : )
Oh and BTW, i'm older than you!
Looks like you had warmer weather than when I summited the thing 4th of July weekend 2003. I was curled up in a ball freezing my 'nads off! Yes, women have gonads! Nice climb huh?
That 3rd pitch on Igor is one of my all-time favorites!
Yes the weather was great.
Hey, Deb, aren't our 'nads internal? Anyway, it was really cold at the base of the climb and I was freezing my 'nads off belaying! But at the top of the first pitch the sun hit the rock and it was gorgeous from there on up.
Has Dave been there yet? We should all go next summer. It's one of my favorite places and Igor is my favorite climb so far in my short climbing career!
Nope, not yet. The place kinda intimidates me. Then again, I'm looking into climbing The Fin or CRS. Must be a bi-polar climber : P
Yeah, it's easy for me cuz I don't lead...almost like cheating, isn't it? I am really interested in CRS, Rob showed it to me on my first and only trip to Sequoia. The routes look hard, though. Hopefully nothing I can't jug up!
Deb is not interested in it and hates PO. I, on the other hand, love the sense of adventure and the obscure location. I've heard the rock is high quality. I'm curious about the other "towers" just to the southeast of CRS as well. I'd love to climb The Fin with you and Rob. He said he'd switch leads if the going got tough. I'd also like to so CRS's Regular Route too.
Hey, what happened to the recon? Guess it fell through? I'm really looking forward to the Tollhouse get-together. I sent Deb an e-mail to see if she wants a small or medium SP shirt.
Rene and I backed off the recon mission....the gully extends out quite a ways and the threat of an avalanche is possible. I spotted it this weekend while I was out with SMR on the High Sierra trail. Looks spooky!
Thanks Mel......that's so thoughtful of you to do that for Debbie. I'm encouraged just at the thought! : )
You're only as old as you feel............or was that as old as you look? Either way Melba, you look well. Climb safe.
Thanks, e-doc!! The problem is sometimes I feel about 100 and other times about 5! I'm so confused!
Damn fine job, Mel. That's worthy of a glass of Cab and good campfire story!
Mooch -- see below...hopefully you and Deb can join us there! And I must say I was pretty damned proud of the flapper I got on the climb. My first!
...Witch!!! Cheers! Paolo
Melbatoast, the Amiable Witch of the West, thanks you.
