..befory it could fly away!
Actually it was probably a little cold for these critters. They were lame, trying to heat up in the sun. . .
You could have taken your time, voting ;-)
Is not easy to catch butterfllies in this way!!
... to fly away. The little bugger was happy with all the sun it could get. See how it isn't even feeding...
Even though it is not a mountain picture it is one of the most beautiful images on SP I have seen so far.
Thanks Benno. Sometimes, if you can manage to turn your eyes off the mountains, you can see these little bits, called nature beside the trails ;-)
IMHO pictures like that might be off topic but belong on a page - for the overall impression if you will.
Definitely agree with your point on taking your eyes off the mountains! The environment and the experience are the most important things for me, summit bagging is not the big thing for me. You get the best views of course, but if you ignroe everything else then it's just statistics. If you're interested at all in butterflies you must head down Mexico way for the Monarch migration in Springtime. Increadible.
Thanks for your sharing beautiful photo. Not only wonderful Mountains.. such a nature beauty as well..I love naming to this butterfly.
... and a nice picture!
Great clarity in this photo! The colors on the butterfly blend well with it's surrounds. NICE WORK!
