It's a big trail in the Ishinca valley

This is near the entrance of Quebrada Ishinca, one of the most popular valleys in the Cordillera Blanca. It's close do Huaraz, there is a refuge at the end of the valley and there are two easy acclimatization peaks in Urus Este and Ishinca. A bit harder but still popular is the northwest ridge of Tocllaraju. There are more difficult routes available as well, but those will only attract a small number of climbers. 27 June 2011.
