Its over there......somewhere

From the false summit, we could kind of see where the summit area was. I was really surprised to see all the trees up there since this part of the desert is so arid. Many of the pine trees we encountered seemed out of place and strangely intermingled with bristlecone pines. Greg had just dodged a snowball thrown by Kadee. Yes, a snowball. We found small patches of snow along the ridge that were leftovers from the storm that went through here a week or so earlier. 10-19-08
