Great via ferrata route  Sucess!

Great via ferrata. Really enjoyed the route and the views from this peak. Fun day out from the hut with Hamish and Brad.

Alpendurst  Sucess!

Climbed with Rob (rgg). This was my second time on the summit, the first one was along the via ferrata 5 years ago. Alpendurst is a nice route with solid rock. The equipped belay stations were quite close to each other - having a 60 m rope, we skipped every other station.

Re: Alpendurst

I knew you were a bit of a rocket scientist as well as a peak monster - but time travel as well?! You seem to have posted this Jul 16, but made the ascent a month later...

Normal Route (T4+)  Sucess!

Acclimatization for Weissmies & Lagginhorn. We drove all night from the Netherlands to Saas, arrived early in the morning, took the first cableway to Kreuzboden and ascended the normal route. Great hike and great summit views.

14 pitches of goodness  Sucess!

Great route. Not easy to find a route with such sustained grade. Nothing really hard, nothing super easy, just 14 pitches of good fun bolts.

Via Ferrata  Sucess!

Nice Vie Ferrata. It was my first one, I loved it so much that this year we're going to the Dolomites for the first time to get more ferrata action. The bridge wasn't there though. Has it gone for good?

Via the via ferrata  Sucess!

Lovely summit though ended up running off it to escape the lightning!

First Via Ferratta  Sucess!

My first Via Ferratta. Was great fun and came down the normal route but missed the last ski lift down, so it was a long walk down to the valley! Unfortunately the wire bridge had snapped two weeks before!

Two days, two times!!  Sucess!

Climbed with two friends over the Vía Ferrata, with the tyrolean bridge and the net. Pleasant climbing. Interesting ferrata, very well equipped. Descending was easy over the normal route.

August, 9th, 2011

Climbed again over Alpendurst, together with my two friends

Route: Alpendurst  Sucess!

Very nice bolted route. The route has a nice way up through the wall and is not to difficult. Really enjoyable climb, only down side is that it sees a lot of traffic.

Via Ferrata

I knew the bridge was coming but had no idea of the cargo net and bolted on climbing holds above it! Memorable and adventurous day :)

jaegigrat  Sucess!

We climbed the jaegigrat starting with the ascent through the wall. The first part was the best. Finding your own route through this wall was nice untill we met the first steinmaenchen. Following the ridge was pleasant. And the descent wasn't too bad.

Very Enjoyable Climb  Sucess!

Nice rock climbing near Saas Fee. My sons Christoph and Alexander joined me in this very pleasant outing. Our guide Tomi [from Zermatt] showed us the normal way, starting from the tram station Kreuzboden. Good rock-climbing practice site before going to more challenging terrain (Riffelhorn, Hoernli Ridge).
