Loop via Otrhance ridge and Jamnícka valley
Demanding but rewarding summer dayhike from Račkova valley autocamp parking (fills up early, payment can only be done via an application if you are a foreigner, while phone signal is on-and-off, so better do it when leaving the main road, albeit you don't know at that point which section has free spots). Ascending the Otrhance ridge is strenous and in the lower part route finding is somewhat difficult, due to many fallen trees and sometimes missing/aged trail marking (offline map on a device that shows your position by GPS comes handy). Once you get above the treeline, the trail becomes clearer to follow, and the terrain gets more rugged with great views to the East and West. Prepare for a couple of ups and downs before reaching Jakubina.

Early morning and brilliant weather
I made my career high single day altitude gain at that day - 2200 altitude metres. Our route: Ziarska valley - Smutne sedlo - Placlivy Rohac - Ostry Rohac - Volovec - Derava - Hruby vrch - Jakubina (highest point of the trip) - Otrhance - Rackova valley. It was warm summer day.
