John,

Your photos keep on getting better
& better. The Limber pine is one
of my favourite trees. Honestly,
I can't afford to travel to CA,
so I always rely on your awesome
photos. Take care.

Very Nice

Your earthquake thread comment about being downtown got me to check out your work.
Glad I found it!

Re: Very Nice

Thanks EMan,

LA is a great place to live even if it does shake once in awhile :)

Thanks for checking my page.

Cheers,

John

Great picture

but it is more likely a Jeffrey Pine. Limber Pine is found higher up on Mount Baden Powell.

Re: Great picture

Thanks for your comment. We have an SP member who is an arborist and well acquainted with San Gabriel Forest trees. He agrees with you on the identification as a Jeffrey Pine. Thanks Theronmoon for your input.
