Jeffrey's Shooting Star (Dodecatheon jeffreyi)

Jeffrey's shooting star, also known as tall mountain shooting star is a common species in mountain meadows and along streams. It ranges throughout most of the mountains of the western U.S. It is almost always pink, but like most other species of the group, rare white flowered plants sometimes occur.
