You can't beat this

awesome mtn. backdrop. Great lighting courtesy of the clouds and the horses are a nice touch. Nice one Marc.

Thank you very much, Windsor. Those puffy clouds and the horses in the foreground made all the difference. We stopped to see the horses, and I thought why not take a few photos.

How bucolic!

Which mountains (or near which town) are in the distance?

Yes, the area is rustic. The mountains in the background are
from left to right: Mt.Emerson, Mt.Humphreys and Basin Mountain. These mountains are part of the Eastern Sierras near Bishop California.

Thank you so much, Eric. Those clouds kept the temps down and gave me the best environment for photography.
I took nearly 500 shots that morning.
