Up from Bailey Canyon Park. A little pressed for time, so didn't follow the ridgeline up to Hastings or Yale. Next time...
With Hastings and Yale from Bailey Canyon Park.
First time. Went on to Hastings Peak.
It was the best way to spend few hours on a 4th of July day off. Did it with my wife. Easy terrain but elevation and heat had be sweating on the way up. We did it as an out and back from Bailey Canyon Park TH. enjoyable geocaching on the way down.
Did a loop that included Mt. Wilson, Jones Peak, Hastings Peak.
Hastings, Yale, Jones, Harvard and Wilson. Long day, but fun.
Out and back to Jones, Hastings, and Yale from Bailey Canyon Park.
Did this on my way back from my loop up the Mt. Wilson trail. Did Wilson, then Harvard, then wrapped all the way around Harvard and Yale, and cut down the steep connector trail to get on the ridge to Hastings. Did Jones on the way down and connected back to the Mt. Wilson trail 5 hours after first coming by there. Hot, long day, but accomplished a lot!
jones peak ridge to mt wilson toll road past harvard on way to wilson and back to sierra madre
Caught this quick one on the way up to Yale & Harvard. Nice early a.m. views.
The first time I tried the loop I missed the connector trail from the Mt Wilson Trail side (its a little hard to see because the first ~30 feet of the trail look like a natural drainage.) Ended up on top of Mt Harvard instead . . . then down the firebreak to Jones.
(But now I just do the loop with Bailey Canyon.)
Tagged this one on the way down from Hastings Peak.
Nice little hike from Bailey Canyon to Jones and Hastings.
Love this mountain. Quick, up and back that's challenging and can be done any time a few free hours pop up.
Nighttime hike to Jones/Hastings/Yale. Delightful. Trip Report
have done a few times, last time in April
Hiked on the way to Mt. Wilson. Great views.
Hiked up Jones Peak via Mount Wilson Trail on the way to Mount Haskins and Mount Yale. Beautiful unobstructed views from the top.
Hiked it again in November 2010 from Bailey Canyon.
Another nice front range hike above Sierra Madre.
