The impressive southwest face of doubletopped Jumbo-Karnak massif is seen here towering 5000 ft above Jumbo Creek in the Purcell Mountains, B.C. The great Austrian guide Conrad Kain was first to climb Jumbo (R, 3437m) in 1915 and Karnak (L, 3411m) in 1916 leading a party up each.
