Fascinating picture

Even in a small picture, this mountain generates mixed fellings... so attractive and so scary .. hypnotizing.

Congratulation for the shot Afzal... again !

Says something...

It says something that this is listed as your 43rd best-rated photo. It could be the place or your photography skills, but I'm sure it's both. Great capture.

Re: Again, Wonderful...

Sure, i can see the reason for surprise here on SP.

i rated the photo 8 out 10 because i assume that on scale of 1-10 a 10 is flawless and needs no corrections or changes whatsoever. In my opinion few photographs i have ever seen meet this criteria completely and would therefore merit a 10.

I think that the glacier in the lower foreground is underexposed and distracting and ideally should be corrected or cropped.
The lens dust in the upper left-hand corner should removed and the lighter rock in bands, while natural or not, are distracting and could afford to be darkened.

I'm being critical not to say that it is not a wonderful image, but to say i believe it could be better and more accurate to the way it feels as you stand there in real life.

So, i rated the photo 8 out 10 because i think that it is and outstanding place, and a good photograph. Its not quite perfect though and it is for these, rare as they may be, i reserve my power and vote weight for.

8 is the highest rating i given out yet on SP.
I made sure it would not lower the photo's rating. If it does i simply delete the vote.

Please do know that none of my images have come close to receiving an eight in my opinion.

Feel free to ask any questions, hope you see where i am coming from. I love your pictures though, so do please keep them coming.
Regards,
Kenneth.alone

Re: Again, Wonderful...

Thanks for explaining your theory about my photo. First of all I would like to inform you that I am not a professional photographer. All my photos are orignal and never photo shoped or corrected. However while adding my photos at SP, I have resized all the photos. I agree with you that you reserve your power of vote at SP, and you may vote my photo as you wish.
