Very nice photo BUT...

First of all this is a very nice photo Afzal congratulations on another beautiful shot.

However might I suggest that you stop selecting all the image types when uploading your photos as when one wants to browse photos by type your photos end up cluttering up the display. For example this photo should only be catagorised as 'scenery' as it certainly doesn't fit the Rock Climbing, Ice Climbing, Alpine Climbing, Bouldering, Aid Climbing, Hiking, Skiing, Wildlife, Flora, Topo/Diagram, Informational or Panorama criteria. If one takes a look at the Bouldering criteria for example your photos are quickly becoming dominant despite having nothing to do with bouldering. Really it is a testament to the quality of your photos as if they weren't so good they wouldn't be so prominant. However I feel if you carry on posting in this way it will make the system of being able to browse by image type pointless. That's my 2 cents anyway.

Kind regards
Dan

Re: Afzal!!

Thank you very much for your nice comments.
K-2 base camp trek has been described one of the best trek in the world, not only for highest mountains but also spectacular views of some of the best vertical lofty peaks in the world. The trek along the Baltoro Glacier to Concordia is one of the best trek in the world. Trekking starts from the Askole village (Pakistan's highest and most remote village, the last human settlement, before the march up Baltoro Glacier to reach Concordia and the K2 base camp) to the spectacular natural amphitheatre of Concordia overlooking most of the world highest peaks including world four above 8000 meters peaks of K2 (8611m), Broad Peak (8047m), Gasherbrum-I (8068m), and Gasherbrum-II (8035m). Concordia is the point where all the glaciers coming from K2, Broad peak, and Gasherbrum meet and flow down towards Paiyu peak, like a highway. Nowhere in the world on can witness four 8000 meter peaks in such small radius. On this trek, besides these 8000 meters peaks one can enjoy the scenarios of Trango Towers, Uli Biaho Towers, Muztagh Towers, Masherbrum, Chogolisa, Baltoro Cathedrals and numerous other high peaks.

For trekking to K2 base camp, there are two options for return back to Skardu. Experienced and strong member will be able to cross the 5585-M high pass of famous Gondogoro la which gives access to the Hushe valley or choose to retrace the trail along the Baltoro Glacier to Askole. The trek is suitable for regular hilwallkers and reasonable standard of fitness. Those members wishing to cross the Gondogoro la should be familiar with mountain walking in winter conditions. This high level of crossing should not be underestimated and will only be used if snow and weather conditions are suitable.
