The Kaibab Bump in the Woods  Sucess!

Spent the night in Jacob Lake CG. Thin coating of snow in the morning. The HP was well dusted with snow and the aspens were beautiful. After tagging the HP I drove down to the North Rim and walked out to the end of the Bright Angel Point. Very nice.

Nice road trip  Sucess!

I drive up there from Kayenta where I had spent the night after doing Roof Butte and Pastora Peak the day before. Very nice road trip to get there. I parked half way up FR-22 to make a bit of hike, about 2 miles one way. I found the register and walked around the area a bit.

Went through here on the Arizona Trail. Nice area but the weather was just awful! Storms for days and days.

2nd one of the day  Sucess!

First I did Mt. Trumbell and then drove the distance to get this one out of the way. The Kaibab HP is indeed lame but hey, it counts.

Nice forest  Sucess!

Great camping in the forest here, The fall colors were spectacular, gold aspens contrasting with the dark green of the conifers. The camping is free as well outside the park

Mitchlers Club  Sucess!

When John discovers that this worthless 9,200' high
point is supposed to be the 14th best peak in
the state (by Prominence) he will never let us
hear the end of it - please don't tell him - thanks.

This "peak" fails the tire rolling test - on any decent
peak gravity should pull a tire at least 100 yards
downhill.

On the bright side, prominence has deemed the 9,160' summit
on the east side of De Motte Park to be of little interest,
while height lovers have to chase that one down as well.

In any case, to get a look at the toughest peaks in AZ, take
a peek off the north rim.

Remote spots  Sucess!

Traveled through this area after visiting wire pass-Buckskin Gulch on the way to the Grand Canyon. Beautiful!
