Normal route from Gorak Shep
It was quite crowded in Gorak Shep, so we departed early in the morning to get to the top before the crowds. (Because of this I finished dressing en route and put on my gloves five minutes later than should have. Result: slight frostbite in three fingers, which healed in a week, but my hands became more sensitive to cold than before.) Perfect weather, breathtaking views, unforgetable.
(A túra a Baraka elsõ Everest alaptábor túrája volt Nádi Laci nagyszerû vezetésével.)
My Father Climbed Kala pattar and any peaks in 1982 . . .
I like Climb kala pattar ...

Great Trek
We had clear weather and great views of Everest all the way from Phortse. The day we hiked up Kala Pataar, there was a bit of cloud cover that hid the mountain, but it was still a fantastic hike. Nepal is such a great place to walk about.

Everything is a little strenuous when you're at these altitudes, especially when you scramble straight up! I wish I would have stayed up there longer...

Wow
Early in the morning weather was perfect and the views were great. This is the place you CAN'T miss when trekking to Everest BC.
Had the top to ourselves for a couple of hours! I did not want to come down!

Sunset on Everest
Second time to this spot. Phenomenal grandstand view of Everest/ Nuptse and back down the Khumbu valley to Ama Dablam, etc. A popular but not to be missed spots on any trek through the Khumbu. Dont' listen to the argument over Gokyo Ri v. Kala Pataar, they both give different and stunning views. Just hike up them both! If you have clear weather, I recommned sunset. Probably the best alpinglow I've ever witnessed. On the way back down the moon rose over Everest's south shoulder. What a magical moment!

Route Climbed: Normal route from Lobuje
Still seemed to take forever to climb even after 2 weeks of trekking in Gokyo and Khumbu. I realized I'll never be a high-altitude mountaineer. It's ok though. The views and trip were incredible.
