I've also learned the hard way.

Never argue with your navigation device!
Impressive ascent!

RE: iphone

Which app did you use and what is your cell provider? I have a Verizon iPhone and I'm going to try and hike it in February.

Did he get back to you about the iPhone app??

iPhone App

The app I used was called "Topo Maps" and can be used almost anywhere.
My service provider is AT&T, hope this answers your question.

Ok thanks blubrit. I'll also bring a separate GPS device. Do you have coordinates for the different bogs and landmarks? Most importantly the arrow location?? I somehow missed that and ended up doing a complete 180 without knowing it

Back Again

Sorry if I missed getting back to anyone. I was otherwise occupied for quite awhile.
I'm heading back to the summit again in a month or so, this time with my 13yr old son. We plan on making it a fun Father/Son trip, so will be allowing approx. 3 days.
I'll try to pinpoint any tricky GPS locations etc. as I lost them from before.
