Contingency Plan
Due to our hiking partner accidently forgetting her boots at home, we opted for Kendall BM instead as this was easy enough to hike in sandals.
Turned out to be a good day. Parked at the mine and walked the road to the weather station then up the choss slope. Great day with good friends and the doggies.
climbed the north ridge of kendall benchmark via swansea gulch on jamie's and mike's birthday weekend! caught the ridge just above treeline and took it the remainder of the way.
a little bit of scrambling brought us to the kendall mtn/benchmark saddle and we cruised back and forth from there. grenadiers and the needles were phenomenal from the heights!

North Ridge from Silverton
Up Swansea Gulch, gained north ridge of Kendall BM near 11,600 feet and followed it over the BM and on to Kendall Mountain. Returned using the ridge the entire way. 6.2 mi, 5150 ft according to our GPS track/TOPO software.

North Ridge
Climbed the north ridge via Swansea Gulch with Shanahan96, Jamie Nellis, Sarah Thompson and Dominic. We then travered over to the higher PT 13338 (true summit of Kendall Mtn). Almost a 5000' vertical day from the town of Silverton, but worth it for that view into the Needles and Grenadiers!

Nice Fall DayBeautiful Fall day. Super cold morning. Though, the gaper off-roaders kind of ruined things a bit.

Fall Break JauntPleasant warm-up for Sneffels. The snow the night before added to the brilliance of the San Juans.
