Kepros Hike and SOTA Activation
Beautiful day for a hike! Was slowed down significantly by intermittent snow up to 1-2 feet deep.

Spring Flowers Abound!
Beautiful hike! We had 360 degree views the whole trip as we hiked along a gently rolling ridgeline to the summit. Spring flowers abound right now, and the hills are a lovely green. The only downside was the Mormon Crickets as they are also everywhere!

#1 04-08-22 W/Lana. 2+39 up on a nice day. We were surprised at how soon one could see the distant summit; we weren't sure if seeing it so far away was a motivation or a discouragement! We met plenty of other friendly hikers both going and coming. On our return we took a short deviation to bag Three Point Mountain. The nifty summit pennant in the register box was a nice unexpected touch.
We decided to go get Three Point Mountain on the way back. Very interesting day. Thankful for the breeze.

Anti-climactic end to the Grand Slam
It's a pretty hike but if you do this one as your final peak in the Grand Slam, prepare to find it a bit anti-climactic! There are a few steep grades and coming back along the rolling ridgeline is tiring, but otherwise it's probably the easiest of the four. For a greater challenge, after you descend the peak but before you start going up the ridgeline again, look for a faint spur trail leading down into the valley and descend all the way to the creek, where you can follow an old track south along the water before reaching another two-track to climb out of the valley. Adds some excitement but maybe also regret about life decisions by the time you're climbing out in the heat and done with everything...

Solo Hike to Kepros
Lots of mormon crickets! Otherwise totally pleasant and beautiful hike, car to car in 4 hours.
Cold and windy on the way out but it warmed up for the return trip. 9.6 mile round trip from Three Points area.

January hike
Since this winter has not produced much snow so far we (Doug and Collin) figured this mostly south facing ridge would allow us to hike up in our boots with out having to use snowshoes. there is a lot of up and down on this hike and my GPS said that we climbed 7,000ft round trip. my legs tell me this is pretty accurate. We were able to do the trip in 4 hours (excluding lunch).

Good Off-Season Hike
Did this one in spring and fall 2011. Tougher than you'd think with some steep ups and downs along the way. This peak is relatively low in elevation and hot in mid-summer, but it makes for a great spring or fall hike. Great views over the back side of Arrow Rock reservoir at the top.

Best possible weather
29 degrees with a dusting of snow, some wind, and some sun - we lucked out! Great, snowy views to the northeast.

Long haul on a wet day
Went with Splattski and took off from the summit neat Three Point. Was cloudy all day and right after we got off the summit it started raining and snowing. Did Splattski's loop back to the car.

Fun and Close
Very close to town and a nice snowshoe. I was having so much fun I climbed Three Point Mountain twice that day along with Kepros. It is a bit of a slog on snowshoes though but worth it for winter conditioning.

Up & Down, Up & Down...
Made the hike out to Kepros on a foggy spring morning, the weather cleared up a bit on the way back allowing for some great views. Saw multiple deer and quite a bit of fresh coyote sign along the way. Trip Report
