GearI have those same two axes. The Omega one I just got for my older son to maybe start learning with next summer. He's also getting a set of stoppers and a new harness for his 10th birthday in a few weeks.

Re: GearThe G1 is my primary and the Omega is a backup/ extra for a partner/my son in the future. I got the Omega on GearExpress for $39. A bit heavy but great starter Axe. Only thing about the G1 I don't like is the small biner hole. I love that my kids are getting big enough to go out with me. :)

Re: GearSame here. I got the OP for 32 from Sierra Trading Post. Even though it's a little heavy, you can't beat that price.
