Marangu Route
Seven years after the first attempt, made it to Uhuru Peak together with my friend Rafa. Though suffering from cold at Gilman's Point, a wonderful experience.

Great peak
The Marangu is a very long route but the reward is worth it. With my friend eza reached the summit at 7:00 with perfect views.
Made it to Gilman's in 4 days- the most beautiful and diverse mountain I've seen!

Machame route
Together with Joost Gransberg and Jurrian Lucas, 6 days, great first 5000+ experience. faced quite some altitude challenges around 4600, just below Kibu. Beautifull mountain! Bring warm clothing and try to find a good guide ;-) (stay critical yourself, local 'guides' have different attitudes towards safety than you might be used to find in Europe etc, they are good people though!). Enjoy! Koen

Machame Route
Summited via the Machame route. Made the summit in 6 hours from Barafu camp and back to high camp in less than 96 hours after leaving Machame gate.
Really beautiful mountain and easy to climb. Summited it at the age of 16. Just keep in mind to move slowly to prevent mountain sickness...

Umwe route
We decided to take the hardess route to climb our first of the seven. But it wasn't so difficult. In fact, only the last night was very difficult, because of the bad weather, very strong wind and snowing! You'll see on our pictures, there is no sun for us on that day! It was the worst weather on the summit that night till 1992! well! That's what our guide said?
Best route, nice point of view!

Blizzard at Summit!
On the evening we approached the summit, the moon was shining bright and we could see the sister peak. However, as soon as we reached the rim, the weather turned on us. The winds were 30+ mph and you couldn't see more than a few feet in front of you. Sadly, it ended as soon as we were on our descent. Too bad it didn't end when we reached the peak so that we could see the glacier.

Success!
4 days up on the Machame route and 2 days down on the Mweka. Gareth, Mark, Nick and I along with our two guides Jon and Jon reached the summit at 5:20 am December 10th. I'm proud to say that I carried all my own personal gear excluding food. A very fun trip and a dream come true! Take a look at the Trip Report.

Amazing
By far, the biggest mountain I've ever seen. Hiked the Machame Route. Couldn't help but look at Mawenzi in amazement.

Seven days on Kilimanjaro
We made the Machame-route in a seven days hike. In the beginning lots of rain and fog but up at the highcamps clear skies. Left Barafucamp at 23:50 and summited at 06:30 together with Johan Dahlström and our guides Carlson and Mike. We booked through Adventures Within Reach. Very well arranged. A great experience!

Machame
Nice hike in "pole pole" motion with Vendulka. I thought it would be much harder. Cold on the summit though. Glad we could make the trip before the glaciers totally melt...

Made it up the Machame!
Had really bad weather for the first 3 days. All gear was soaked and we doubted we would make it. But we got an hour of sunshine on the fourth day which was enough to dry our stuff out and boost morale. Unbelievable views from the summit! Sidenote: don't use Sunny Safaris, their gear is crap and our handler was downright dishonest.
