Last major Fisher tower
Had a fun romp up the CO NE Ridge with Kiff and Kurt. As with the other towers here, the climb was very memorable. Took almost 3 years to climb all the giants, and I suggest starting with the harder ones first. This climb was something I had never experienced in the Fishers: fun and stress free climbing! It was great. Awesome summit too.

Made my 1st attempt 3/29/2014 with Dom & Brian C. Got too late of a start and ran out of time. Fixed ropes to the top of P3 but crazy high winds the next day kept us from going higher. Cleaned the ropes and went home empty handed.
Dom & I returned two weeks later for a rematch. I led P1, P2 & P5 of 5. Thunder began as I was nearing the top of the last pitch. Topped out to see an unexpected electrical storm approaching. Watched lightning strike Castle Valley as I reached up and tagged the summit proper. Sideways rain started as we began the raps. Double rope free hanging rap was quite intense! Awesome day.

CO NE Ridge
Fun day out. Pretty straight forward with a few spots needing trickery (i.e. getting off the belay on the 3rd pitch and 4th pitches). I really enjoyed this and see why this is so classic. 95% rock and 5% choss. Linked P1-2 and P4-5.

Colorado NE Ridge
I climbed the Colorado NE Ridge in April 2005. The position of the climb is very exposed right on the ridge. Really glad the bolts had recently been replaced.

Had a great time. Not nearly as scary as advertised. Loved the quote left on the summit register. " Step up to the edge, look over and take one more step." Written by a base jumper.

NE Ridge. Fun & clean rock actually. Longer day than expected with an extra party on route. Not really a grade IV as per guidebook IMHO...
