I love the scene. Great capture, and yet again, another great trip report!
butitsadryheat, you might have noticed this image was not taken during the reported trip, but instead during an August trip with my son. The tripod location is about 500 feet below our campsite alongside Window Peak Lake. It is an awesome location. http://www.summitpost.org/below-window-peak/811148
I must have missed it. I just saw it at the top of your TR, and voted and commented without really thinking anything other than it was quite a shot.
You do great justice to the landscape...
Thank you, foster fanning
It is my first successful black and white. Your compliment is very generous.
It has the sense of A. Adams. Good work on your 1st. More to come we hope...
Thanks again, I'll give it my best!
Is this from a single image? Love the feel of it.
Good observation, the composition is actually two stitched images, vertical format, full shift with a Zeiss tilt-shift 40mm lens. It was then slightly cropped to create a 4:5 aspect ratio.
