Re: Such a nice shot!Thank you Noondueler,
I was out there for sunrise on Mount Tom when this happened. Humphreys never got any sun, but Four Gables did. Talking about luck.
Thanks for the visit and the compliment,
Marc

Re: IncredibleThank you so much Dean. You are very kind.
This one was completely accidental. I was photographing a nearby mountain at sunrise, and saw this. It reminded me of Galen Rowell and his talk on nature photography. I thought to take a picture of it.
Glad you like it, Dean,
cheers,
Marc

Island PeakIt's funny. Every time I see your photo, it reminds me of Island Peak.

Re: Island PeakWhy is that? I've never done Island Peak. But, did we meet nearby there? Like in Pheriche or something?
BTW, your photos are awesome.

Re: Island Peaknot sure if we have met. I'm more of a Dingboche man than Periche :p.
I forgot to say before but your photo is great, I will look for the equivalent Island Peak photo.

Re: this is itNo, you're not full of crap. I can see the similarities. Island peak has a wide summit similar to Basin Mt. Wouldn't be nice if we had an Island Peak here in the US? Or at least a Pumori, a Cholatse or may be a Lhotse!!

Whew!Killer shot!!
It's hard to get 'mono-chromatic' shots to come out but you did a hell of a job on this one.
Great post!

Re: Whew!Thank you Kiefer. This one was one lucky shot, and completely unplanned. Being in the right place at the right time is the whole thing.
You have some incredible photos yourself.
Thanks for the visit,
Marc
