Matt McCullough  Sucess!

It was a beautiful and calm day to climb to and stand on the boulder. A couple of Russians performed a one man standing on the other one's shoulders act while on the rock that was pretty impressive (...or really dumb). I made the trip again the following week with my daughter (an adult) and we stood on the boulder together in 25-35 mph gusting winds. Our judgment was probably a little off as well.

Watch and wonder  Sucess!

Didn't really summit Kjerag, I don't think many people do. But we did do the obligatory stand on the boulder, and wandered around the edges taking in the views. At sunset BASE jumpers were flinging themselves off the edge, which was entertaining.

Route Climbed: Normal from Øygardsstøl  Sucess!

From Stavanger we took the ferry that goes through the beautiful Lysefjorf until Lyseboten. Then up to the car park in Oygardsstol. Due to big rain we almost gave up the plan but shower stopped and decided to go. Florence and I don't regret as it was finally an excellent hike (we started at 12h00 and finished at 17h30, taking our time to play in the rocks, pictures etc.) and clearly one of the highlights of our trip in Norway. Standing up on the boulder 1rst separatedly and after together was just wonderful and a bit scary.

Easy hike, but can be dangerous in icy conditions.

Peter.
