great description!

i loved this mountain! one question, is it called Sunset or Sunrise Ridge from the Visitor's Center? Or is Klahane ridge technically the perpindicular one which starts from the mountain but is not reached on this trail unless climbing from the east side?

Re: great description!

There seems to be some discrepancy about where Klahane Ridge gegins and ends. To be completely accurate, Klahane Ridge is the Ridge running east-west that connects Mount Angeles, Rocky Peak, Burnt Mountain, and Lookout Rock. It could be argued that Mount Angeles is the western terminus of Klahane Ridge. But then what is the name of the ridge that connects Hurricane and Klahane? Sunrise Ridge is not accurate because it is merely an offshoot of the main ridge. Have you been there recently? I wonder what the park refers to it as? Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
