While there were a lot of switchbacks, it is not a particularly difficult hike, and the weather was perfect! I absolutely loved the scramble near the top. The cables were nice to have nearby, but this section is doable without using them, if you have any climbing experience and watch out for the rocks that have been worn down. Exposure is there, but not too bad. The view from the top is phenomenal, with 360 degree views.

Nice Half-Day Combo
Took a train from Munich to Oberammergau, arrived at 11:30 am. From the station, it took 50 minutes to the summit. From there, I got to Pürschling by 2:20 pm. Returned to the station by 3:45 and took the next train home.

Nice winter trip
Ascendet Kofel via Kofelsteig. After summiting I moved on to the Zahn-peak of Sonnenberggrat with my skies on my backpack. Skied down from Zahn back to Oberammergau.
