A second day option from Martin Busch hutte after Similaun
With mtb from Vent to the hut. From Martin Buschhut hiking to the summit. Easy going... Great downhill from the hut to Vent!
Winter state. Due to snow conditions a little bit late climb. There was deep snow on the upper region. Somethimes I broke in snow. It was weist deep among the rocks. We missed the path. There was an exhausting ascent. 9 hours from Vent.
My first peak above 3000 m. I have climbed it on very rainy day with company of friend Ivica Buljevic and his 8 year old son Ante- "Mali planinar"! Vent-Martin Busch hutte 2 h 30 min, Martin Busch hutte-Kreuzspitze 3 h 30 min, Kreuzspitze-Vent 4 h 30 min. There was no ice, only snow fields in last 500 m belove the peak! Finaly on summit there was sunny 30 min as a reward! Boy was very fast, almost running, we were very slow!
A day hike from Vent.
Great weather and excellent views. High up there was a little bit of snow, nothing serious.
Climbed it as an acclimatisation tour. Really nice peak, relitively easy to reach, no major ice/snow fields, just a tricky one on the ridge (because of the temperatures the snow was very weak). The view on top is fantastic!
Acclimatisation tour with guiding a group of friends. Not the best view, but nice walk
I climbed this one two times, once in 1988 and once in 1992, both times via the normal route from the Martin-Busch-Haus. A beautiful route to a significant Ötztal peak with a great view! Difficulties: none.
The highest peak I have ever climbed. Wonderful views. We stayed at the Martin-Busch Hut. It was so long ago I can't remember the date!
One of my first peaks.
Climb it while leading a group of autistic/adhd boys
From Vent and back in one day. Perfect conditions, very long, but easy.
From Martin Busch Hut, nice but long.
Remembering it wasn't a difficulty route just the end of the climbing on the ridge because of the hard wind...yes the wind was strong as I remember...but on the top...It was beautyful! It worthed!
Beautiful weather at last after a week of wind, snow and cold. Great view from top on Weisskugel, Similaun and Wildspitze...and on many others of course...
My first time on the kreuzspitze, did it in a terrible snow.
Very nice and easy scramble, wonderful view in all directions, did this with my brother Herbert on his 35th birthday.
A cold and cloudy day after a few days of thunderstorms.
easy hike, nice
Nice walk up, i climb it some years back in snowweather, this time was better.
