As of 10/28/12 the road going in is no longer passable to passenger vehicles. Two heavy rainstorms from this past summer have washed out huge sections of the road. It took me more than 30 minutes to get a mile and a half down the road in a Corolla before bailing. You could do it with a truck, but hopefully the road will be repaired for those of us who don't have one.
