Stunning

Todd-This picture is magnificent. Although you probably spent so much time waiting for the light and composing the picture that you failed to climb the mountain! (Or did you?) HA!

I'm honored to know you'll be at my engagement at RMNP and I'll get to meet the man that took this glorious photo. I really enjoy your work, and I'm stunned (since you get paid for what you do) that you posted it here on SP. We are truly flattered!

You are right (in your post on the RMNP January 8 thread) that I shoot a different type of picture than you, pictures that tell stories. It also means I no longer have the patience to sit and wait for such a glorious shot. It's either there when I'm there, or it's not. It's either wait and get the shot (and give up the summit to a storm) or climb the mountain. This also means I'm lazy! HA!

Thanks again for posting this stunning picture on SP.

Excellent

With excellent shots by the likes of Kane, BrentD, Smudge, and now Todd, Colorado has owned 6 of the last 15 Photos of the week, whereas before that spread we had only had one ever (I think). Thanks all of you for your outstanding contributions, and Todd in particular for this one.

Beautiful!

Most righteous! I love how the rubble on the lake bottom blends into the reflection.

Re: Todd,did you use a...

No, Kane, I didn't. It can have a pretty strong effect when the sun is as low on the horizon as it was here. The blue sky would've gone nearly black.
