Got burned  Sucess!

I and Claude (a friend) started at the Refuge du Promontoire (3092m) and passed by la Brêche de la Meije (3357m). We went down on the West face (rapelling few times). I did not bring the sunscreen. I got burned. Very sunny day.

Traverse  Sucess!

Most beautiful high-alpine route I've climbed so far. Very worthwhile, especially the traverse itself.

Gran Pic (3983). Promontoire Ridge

Incredible peak with a very beautiful, and long climb.
900 m of climb from Promontoire Hut until the summit. 23 rappels to descent from the summit. A long long day.

In spanish I've got a web with descriptions and photos.

Pic Central De La Meije  Sucess!

Climbed “Doigt De Dieu, Finger of God” (3973 m) from the Aigle hut. Fun ice and rock route but could have been bit longer.

Traverse of the meije and meije oriental  Sucess!

Traverse of the meije was a great route. Starting with rock climbing and route finding problems completed by the snow and ice part after rapelling the grand pic. The next day we went up the meije oriental by its normal route.

Route Climbed: traverse Date Climbed: 22nd august 1990  Sucess!

It is sometimes said to be with the walker spur on the grandes jorasses France's most beautiful climb, though much, much easier than the walker spur of course!

Quite long, not too difficult (III, III +), but the most beautiful part is probably the traverse itself between the two main peaks. The view from the ridge is just wonderful, nothing higher on the north side up to mont blanc seen from steep icy slopes, and the south face, nearly vertical, receives a really mediterranean sun...

a wonderful climb! descent quite long if you don't stop in refuge de l'aigle

Route Climbed: Meije Orientale N ridge Date Climbed: july 22d 1984  Sucess!

Sorry, I got only the easiest Eastern summit...Takes three times more time to climb from the valley to the refuge de l'Aigle (6 hours) than to get to the top. Great situation and fabulous views during a sunny day.
