Is it true

that in La Paz they have bottled oxygen at the hotels for the guests who might need it because of the height?

I haven't heard that. Probably in the expensive ones (??).

Jana and I stayed in a backpackers hotel, which is very cheap, around 50 cents of a dollar per night. She got a bit sick cause of altitude and food. Coca tea was great, she had a couple cups at a store we were visiting, and she recovered pretty well.
