Went up the Standard Route  Sucess!

A fun day despite not particularly great weather. It never rained, and there was no thunder or lightning, but there were plenty of low lying clouds which blocked all the views once we reached the ridgeline.

It was my son's first 14er, so regardless of the weather, it was a very memorable day.

NW Ridge  Sucess!

What a fantastic place to celebrate the 4th of July! We sauntered to the summit in a nice 3 hours and 15 minutes. [EDIT: Which is not bad for two old ladies, one with a pulled ligament in her left knee.] It was a beautiful day and I nearly fell asleep at the summit...until I realized I'd been laying on my camelback which drained into a puddle on the summit. So, which one of you is the young college intern who asked "Mind if I smoke?" at the summit? Partner: Deb.

NW ridge  Sucess!

By far the most scenic 14er I've done to date. Beautiful views all the way up, spectacular summit. So, does everyone hike with their dog in CO?

Re: NW ridge

I saw six people today and 2 had dogs. So answering your question, YES.
