Lady's Slipper

Lady's Slipper

This is a wildflower I only know as Lady's Slipper. Found an island in St. Regis Wilderness Area, NY, that was completely covered with them.

yep

Pink Lady's-Slipper, Cypripedium Acaule. It's not too common in New York ("exploitably vulnerable" according to the USDA).

Cool

Thanks for the post. I remember these as a kid in Northern NJ, I didn't know they weren't common in New York. This particular island is covered with hundreds of them every year.
