Great ...

You are so fortunate to be living so close to the Mojave desert.
If I was a resident of the LA metro-plex or even the suburbs, I
would be looking at ways (excuses?) to get OUT and enjoy Nature!

You made a very good choice, Guido!

Re: Great ...

Thanks Larry. I am indeed looking for ways to get outdoors as often as possible. You're right. The Mojave is very close and absolutley marvelous. Cheers. Guido

Nice details!

For a great weekend out of the city! We passed near this area on our way out west in 2000. I would really like to camp there as you did. Thanks for writing this up.

Re: Nice details!

Thanks for your comment and vote. If you ever have a chance you should definitely go there and explore the many beautiful spots. There are many very nice campsites inside the park. Cheers.

Nice!

I love Death Valley and enjoyed your trip report! I read it and looked at the images, thinking I've been there, I took the same picture - especially the one of the kilns.

I attached your images of Mosaic Canyon to my page. I hope that is okay with you. I really liked the one you took from the top of the amphitheather!

Re: Nice!

Thanks for your votes and comment. I checked out your Mosaic Canyon page before my trip and it inspired me to explore it. It is really a beautiful canyon. Sure, it's ok to attach the pics to your page. Cheers. Guido
