I think that this is one of the best shots of one of the most beautiful mountains I have ever seen. Where exactly it has been taken?

Thanks very much. This ranks as one of the most amazing mountain views I have ever seen.

If you look on the far right side of this map, you will see the three dots for the "Kyanjin Gompa". The gompa is located where the trail forks in several directions. Two northern forks go up either side of the Lirung Glacier, which is clearly shown. I was alone at the time and was following the right hand fork. I had walked no more than a mile from the gompa, perhaps somewhere near where the "K" is printed close to the trail. Langtang Lirung is visible to the north and slightly west of where I was standing.
